It has been Barbara and my privilege to serve the Northwest Oklahoma District since August 1998. Prior to coming here, we pastored in Washington, Texas, Arizona, Colorado and Florida.

A Word from our District Superintendent

Planning is important, even stretching in your plans beyond what YOU and YOUR CHURCh are able to do.  I always like to lay out our plans and goals for the new year based on what WE thought WE could do, and then set some goals that were impossible unless God really stepped in and moved us above and beyond what WE could do.

I love what Adam Hamilton says in Leading Beyond the Walls:

The problem behind our dwindling ranks has been a limited vision that permeates every level of leadership in our churches, which stems from a "safe" faith in an impotent God who no longer works in our world.

Let's not set "safe" goals for 2006-2007, but let's set some goals that cannot be met unless God does something unusual in us and in our churches.
